Today marks a historic milestone for our nation as Hon. Rigathi Gachagua officially launches the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), a truly people-centered political movement rooted in the principles of democracy, community, and social justice. This new party embodies the true spirit of governance—"for the people, by the people, and of the people"—giving Kenyans a platform where voices are heard, freedoms are protected, and citizens' priorities come first.

DCP is built on the foundation of equality and shared prosperity. It advocates for a society where resources circulate fairly among all citizens—civil servants, workers, youth, and every Kenyan—drawing inspiration from successful models of socialism and communism that have fostered tremendous economic growth in countries like China, Russia, and Libya. Our focus is on raising revenue through state parastatals and operations without overburdening citizens with taxes. We are committed to ensuring equal rights for all—access to quality health, housing, employment, and shared resources—empowering Kenyans to be the masters and implementers of their destiny.

This revolutionary party emphasizes community-driven development, social justice, and youth empowerment. We are determined to address youth unemployment with innovative, adaptive ideas, and to listen actively to the voices of our citizens—because when the people speak, action follows.

I urge all Kenyans, especially the people of Magarini constituency, to join this noble cause. Importantly, our party will uphold a transparent nomination process where the people decide who represents them—free from imposition or favoritism. Hon. In Magarini, I am personally committed to ensuring that our DCP candidates win both the Magarini parliamentary seat and all Kilifi County wards within the constituency. Our vision is clear: by 2027, we will be a formidable force in Kenyan politics, and together, we will send President William Ruto home, as his leadership has failed to revive Kenya’s economy and improve the lives of our citizens.

This visit will be an important opportunity for them to listen to the ground, to hear the hopes, challenges, and aspirations of our people firsthand.
