I kindly ask that you Mr. President to consider visiting us in Magarini and offering solutions to our pressing issues.

To His Excellency President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua,

As I send this message from the interior part of Magarini, many miles away from the President's State House in Nairobi, I hope this message finds you well. I have chosen to share my report through social media, rather than presenting it in person, to ensure that the urgent concerns of our community reach you promptly and for all Magarini people to bear witness that this report captures the real situation on the ground.

Am an aspiring leader representing the concerns of the people of Magarini Constituency. As I traverse through the villages, I have come to face the harsh realities that our residents endure daily, and it is with a heavy heart that I bring these matters to your esteemed attention.

Magarini boasts fertile land with enormous agricultural potential, yet the residents are battling severe water shortages. Many families go to bed hungry, despite living on land that, if harnessed correctly with adequate water supply, could yield bountiful harvests and uplift their standard of living. They have long awaited assistance, with promises made but never fulfilled. The cycle of unfulfilled promises has led to a growing disillusionment among the people, who feel their voices have been unheard.

Our elders and local leaders have been engaging your administration, sharing their aspirations and hopes, but as time goes on, the words of these leaders seem to fade into whispers of despair rather than action. The people do not just want to be promised; they yearn for tangible changes that will uplift their community and future generations.

Moreover, the youth of Magarini represent a vibrant and hopeful demographic, yet they find themselves at a crossroads. They have invested time and resources in their education, yet opportunities for employment remain scarce. The community is ripe for industrial development that could absorb these eager minds and invigorate the local economy. Establishing a manufacturing or industrial hub here would not only provide jobs but also harness the untapped potential of our youth.

The infrastructure also presents a significant challenge—specifically, the incomplete road connecting Wakala to Baricho and the lack of electricity access for many households, including schools. No community can thrive without reliable electricity, which is crucial for education, healthcare, and business development. I urge you to direct your newly appointed cabinet secretary, Hon. Opiyo Wandayi, to prioritize the electrification of our region, enabling the promise of development to take root.

While I recognize that not everyone in leadership sincerely represents the voices of the residents, I have taken it upon myself to be that bridge between the common mwananchi and your administration. I have heard their concerns, and I come to you not just as a leader, but as a representative of the enduring spirit of the people of Magarini.

I would also like to bring to your attention the abundant talent within our youth. They are eager to showcase their skills and receive support from the government. Establishing a talent center would provide them with the resources and mentorship needed to thrive creatively, while also fostering a sense of community and hope.

Your leadership has inspired trust and confidence among the citizens of Magarini. They believe that with your intervention, meaningful change is not just a dream but a realistic expectation. They long for a visit from you, where you can engage with them, hear their stories, and witness the potential that lies in this region.

As we approach the festive season, I kindly ask that you consider visiting us in Magarini and offering solutions to these pressing issues. The impact of your support would be felt for generations to come, and our community would remain grateful to you, not just with words but with votes when the time comes for the next elections in 2027.

As you prepare for your visit, please note that I will be traversing the breadth and width of Magarini Constituency. I will keep you updated on the challenges our people continue to undergo.

Thank you for your time, patience, and attention to these pressing matters. I look forward to your positive response and am hopeful for a brighter future for Magarini Constituency.

Sincerely,

Hon. Paul Mwangi

Magarini Constituency.
